Pair of Louis XV casters, Altenloh for Matelot In Liège 1900-1930

🇬🇧 Pair of Louis XV style twisted sugar casters in sterling silver. They are fairly faithful historical replicas of the Louis XV period  casters as they were manufactured in the princedom of Liège and its surroundings around 1760-70. They bear the hallmarks of the master goldsmith - jewellers Altenloh in Brussels (two ostrich feathers) and the boutique mark of the jeweler Matelot in Liège. They date from the beginning of the twentieth century. Total weight 220 grams.

🇫🇷 Paire de saupoudroirs torsadés de style Louis XV en argent massif.
Ils sont des répliques historiques assez fidèles des saupoudroirs d'époque Louis XV comme ils se fabriquaient dans la principauté de Liège et ses environs vers 1760-70.
Ils portent les poinçons de maître orfèvre de la maison de haute joaillerie Altenloh à Bruxelles (deux plumes d'autruche) et la marque de boutique du bijoutier Matelot à Liège.
Ils datent du début du vingtième siècle.

🇳🇱 Massief zilveren paar suikerstrooiers in Louis XV-stijl. Ze dateren van het begin van de twintigste eeuw en zijn een historische replica's van de strooiers uit de Lodewijk XV-periode vervaardigd in het Prinsdom van Luik en omgeving rond 1760-70.
Ze dragen de keurmerken van de juwelenhuis Altenloh in Brussel (twee struisvogelveren) en het boetiekmerk van de juwelier Matelot in Luik.
