Tripod chocolate pot, Louis XV, Mons, 1771, sterling silver

🇬🇧Sumptuous Louis XV chocolate pot in solid silver with the hallmark of the city of Mons 1771. These very large twisted  pots , in the flamboyant Louis XV style, were the great specialty of goldsmiths in Mons. This has the particularity of having the unscrewable fretel and the easily removable cover hinge pin. This allows the user to put a mixing stick or blender which can then protrude through the opening in the lid. High quality object.

🇫🇷Somptueuse chocolatière  Louis XV en argent massif au poinçon de la ville de Mons 1771.
Ces verseuses torses de très grand gabarit ,au style Louis XV flamboyant furent la grande spécialité des orfèvres montois.
Celle-ci a la particularité d'avoir le fretel dévissable  et la goupille de la charnière du couvercle facilement enlevable. Ce qui permet à l'utilisateur de mettre un bâton mélangeur ou  émoussoir qui pourra ensuite dépasser par l'ouverture dans le couvercle. Objet de grande qualité.
